David Jackson

David Jackson, a Colorado native and self-taught artist, began painting over twenty years ago. The early years produced amazing photo-realistic portraiture, showcasing the finely tuned technical ability of the artist.

Jackson, a master of image and color, has evolved his work over the years towards the abstract. Recent works range from contemporary botanicals to a new collection simply called "spheres".

Jackson works diligently in his studio. It is not uncommon for the artist to work in series, both on canvas and on paper. This is an efficient process that allows productivity, while not compromising the originality of each piece.

Clean organic lines, textured backgrounds, and rich depth of color are definitives in Jackson's mixed media paintings. Jackson's work can be found in numerous corporate and private collections around the world.

On a personal note, David enjoys a relatively quite home life. In his spare time, Mr. Jackson travels and is a ravenous reader, constantly on the look out for what's next. When asked about his success, David simply states, "I never imaged I could actually become an artist. It's very satisfying to do what you truly love."
